Iran Roundtable is a non-partisan, non-profit coalition of Iranian-American of all ethnic groups and nationalities, Azeri Turks, Persians, Arabs, Kurds, Baluchis, Turkmens and others who want to see their motherland, Iran to be free from tyranny of the regime of Islamic Republic of Iran and use all the tools at its disposal to advocate for rule of law, freedom and democracy for Iran and advancing the interests of the Iranian-American community in the US.
Iran Roundtable is organized exclusively for advocacy and educational purposes, more specifically to advance the economic, physical, cultural and social life of Iranians, Iranian-Americans by establishing, maintaining and supporting a community-wide coalition or coalition of organizations.
Iran Roundtable strives to be the true voice of Iranians on the Capitol Hill; Iranians inside the country who live with the brutalities of this regime and who wish for a better future for their country and a better relations with the larger international community, the US in particular. Iranian Americans who are forced to flee their country Iran are among the most well settled and integrated population in the US who need to have a voice around the US to truly represent them and reflect on their values and ideals of democracy, freedom, rule of law and above of respect for human rights unimagined under the current regime of Islamic Republic of Iran.
To this aim, IR strives to actively engage, various strides of Iranian American community in daily political, economic and social life of the US to better educate policy makers and centres on Iran and Iranians. Unfortunately, there is a misleading perception in the US that Iranian public are anti-American. While this holds true for the regime ruling the country, the overall Iranians are very pro-American.
